HEALTH PROGRAMS
FOR SLUM COMMUNITIES

Individual and public health particularly
in rural and slum communities in India
today is of serious concern.
SAC-CCC assists the problem
through Health Centers |

|
SAC-CCC Home for Boys, Mulayam, Trichur Dt. Kerala
The home for children at Mulayam is established to meet the holistic development of
children drawn from broken homes, alcohol and drug-addicted parents, semi-orphans, orphans
and social orphans.
Sponsor a Cow
Help a family in a rural village purchase a cow. The income generated through milk sales
enables parents to take care of their childrens' basic medical and educational needs. |
Assistance
to the Aged
Jeevanahalli Slum, Bangalore, Karnataka and Chittoor Rural, Andhra Pradesh
Since a Social Security system is not in vogue in India, the elderly are not offered
adequate care and often must care for their grand children. Families who face acute
poverty are not able to care for their aged, particularly in the slum communities. |
Street
children programs
In cooperation with the YMCA, Bangalore.
The programs for street children in South India include providing night shelter,
motivation training, and rehabilitation programs suited to their interest and
aptitude. |
